Steroid Metabolism in vitro by Whole Testis Tissue of Japanese Quail

gland patch, that were relatively active in forming 17-0x0 steroids from testosterone also did so from Sa-dihydrotestosterone. Testosterone, androstenedione, epitestosterone and $-steroids were not found in any incubation. Conjugates were only found with the gerbil ventral gland patch, where. epiandrosterone sulphate and 5u-androstane-3/3,17p-diol sulphate were identified. A neutral polar fraction more polar than androstanediol was detected in all incubations.
